Diversity Presentation, May 31, 2013
Thanks to Boeing South Carolina’s Diversity Lunch and Learns for allowing me to present my mother’s story on three separate occasions in recognition of Asian/Pacific Americans Month. My mother was able to attend one of the luncheons and at the end of the presentation I introduced her and she received cheers and a standing ovation. My mother’s story is told in Natural Destiny, a book highlighting her experiences as a child prisoner of war during the Japanese occupation of the island of Guam during World War II.
